Pax8
Manage subscriptions, orders, and licensing through Pax8 with AI.
The Pax8 integration lets the AI manage a customer's subscriptions instead of just referencing them: reviewing what they have, changing quantities, and placing new orders.
That covers licensing in both directions. Onboarding someone and the client's out of seats? The AI can place the order for another license instead of you filing a manual PO. Someone leaves and their license just sits there? The AI can drop the subscription quantity down, reclaiming the seat and saving your client, and you, money on a license nobody's using.
Prerequisites
- Admin access to your Pax8 account, to grant consent during setup.
- Admin/Owner role in your Uniportal tenant.
Setup
Connect Pax8
- In the Uniportal dashboard, go to Integrations.
- Select the Pax8 tile.
- Click Connect. This starts an OAuth flow: sign in with a Pax8 admin account and consent to the integration.
Map companies
Once connected, map Pax8 companies to the matching company in Uniportal from the Pax8 integration tile, so the AI knows which account to manage subscriptions against. Select Auto match to let Uniportal suggest matches for you to review and approve, or match them manually yourself.
Uniportal works without mapping, but we recommend doing it: it's what lets the AI find and act on the right subscriptions instead of searching blind.
Control access to Pax8 tools
Pax8 tools show up on the Agent Tools page like any other tool. Set a Mode on each one, Automated, Approval Required, or Disabled, and use custom roles if only some of your team should be able to use them. Placing an order is a different level of trust than reviewing a subscription, so it's worth setting those separately.
