Shared and private memories
The Shared and Mine tabs on the Memories page, and who a memory is actually for.
The Memories page has two tabs. Shared is team knowledge. Mine is personal to you. They're not two flavors of the same thing, a private memory isn't a smaller version of a shared one, it's a different kind of fact with a different audience.
Shared
A shared memory is created by an admin, or created automatically by Uniportal AI when it picks something up worth keeping from a chat or a ticket. Either way, it's scoped (see Memory scopes) and any technician working within that scope gets it. That's the point of sharing it: knowledge about how Dunder Mifflin Scranton runs shouldn't depend on which technician happened to learn it first.
Mine
A memory under Mine belongs to you. Uniportal is direct about this on the page itself:
Personal to you, not shared with your team
Only you can see and use these memories. No other member of your team, including admins, can view or edit them, and Uniportal AI applies them only when it is working with you.
Private memories skip scope entirely, there's no company, device, or end user to attach. They're just yours: how you like a ticket note drafted, which customers you're the standing escalation for on a given day, a workaround you personally rely on. Anything a customer's next technician would also need to know belongs in Shared instead.
Turning either one off
Memory settings (top of the Memories page) has two switches: Use shared memory, marked Admin, controls whether Uniportal AI uses shared memories at all on your tenant. Use my personal memory controls whether it uses your own private ones. Each technician manages their own personal-memory switch; only an admin can turn shared memory off tenant-wide.
